Council on Aging offers seniors free lunch
The Council on Aging will host a free lunch for seniors age 60 and up Mon., Aug. 24 at the Goebel Senior Adult Center, 1385 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.
Nestle professional executive chef Richard Reilly will prepare a variety of lunch entrees.
The “Deals on Wheels” Rummage Sale will also take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. that day.
The sale is sponsored by the Senior Nutrition Action Council, which raises money for the daily lunch program.
Reservations are required for the luncheon, and seating is limited. Call (805) 449-2743 for available seating times.
Seniors who need a ride can call DialARide at (805) 3755467. Rides to the lunch program are free for those 62 and over with DialARide card. Advanced reservations are required.
