Generating power from the wind may exceed the cost
After reading a couple of articles about Continental Wind Power opening a new plant in our area, I visited their website.
I went to the “contact us” section and submitted a couple of questions.
1. How long does it take a wind-powered generator running at full capacity 24/7 to replace the power it requires to produce it? 2. How long does it take to produce enough energy savings to recoup the purchase price of $700,000 to $800,000?
I’m very interested in the answers to these questions before I can decide if this option of power generation is worth considering.
I’m still waiting for a reply. Tim Daugherty Newbury Park
