Ventura County Fire Department (VCFD) has launched a new website that provides information about wildfire preparedness. The site is also the home of the department’s Ready, Set, Go! wildfire preparedness program.

The Internet website, www .vcreadysetgo.org, includes a wildfire action plan brochure that can be downloaded, videos on preparedness, a home survey to evaluate the readiness of the property against fire and an e-mail link to schedule a Ready, Set, Go! presentation by VCFD personnel for homeowner groups and service clubs.

The Ready, Set, Go! program teaches residents about defensible space, early evacuation, fire-safe construction, fireresistant landscaping, disaster supply kits and what to take with you during an evacuation.

Ready, Set, Go! can also be accessed from VCFD’s regular Internet website at www .fire.countyofventura.org.
