UCLA offers program for aspiring writers

The UCLA Extension 2009 Writers Faire will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sun., Aug. 30 in the Young Hall Courtyard on the UCLA campus, Westwood.

The event is free although there is a parking fee.

The fair features professional writers sharing their tips in 24 panel discussions, personal advice on courses, representatives from the graduate writing programs and the opportunity to enroll in fall writing courses at a 10 percent discount.

The UCLA Extension Writer’s Program is a continuing education program with certificate programs and more than 500 writing courses each year.
