MAKING A LOCAL APPEARANCE—Comedy hypnotist Gary Conrad makes audiences laugh. Conrad will appear in Thousand Oaks on Saturday night. Comedy hypnotist Gary Conrad will appear at 8 p.m. Sat., Aug. 15 at the Fun Shway Comedy Theater in Thousand Oaks.

Conrad has been an onstage hypnotist for 22 years, traveling the country presenting his audience-participation show. He was named entertainer of the year in Las Vegas and appeared on the ABC television talk show “The View.”

“Gary not only brings laughter and joy to the audience but makes them a part of the experience with a Las Vegas show right here in Thousand Oaks,” said Vic Dunlop, theater organizer and comedian.

The $20 admission includes snacks and drinks. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Regenerate, a Conejo Valley nonprofit that helps prevent teen suicide through film and media public service announcements.
