Application process begins for Housing Rehabilitation Loans

The Thousand Oaks Redevelopment Agency is accepting applications for the Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program.

Forms must be submitted to City Hall Housing Division by 5 p.m. Mon., Aug. 31.

Mobile home, town house, and single-family dwelling property owners may apply for a low-interest loan to cover such eligible property improvements as aids for mobility, weatherization and earthquake reinforcements.

The program assists owners with identifying health and safety hazards, helps owners prepare for the bid process and designs loan packages to fit homeowners’ budgets.

Assistance is available to extremely low- to moderate-income homeowners and requires owner to occupy unit as their primary residence. Qualified preapplications will be placed on a wait list.

The loan program operates through the Thousand Oaks Redevelopment Agency.

Forms may be downloaded from www.toaks.org or picked up at the Housing Division, Thousand Oaks Redevelopment Agency, City Hall, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., second floor, Ste. B, Thousand Oaks.
