Cypress Place Senior Living will host the fifth annual “A Taste of Cypress” and car show from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wed., Aug. 12 at 1200/1220 Cypress Point Lane, Ventura.

The event is a fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association.

Food will be provided by local merchants such as The Greek at the Harbor and Main Course California.

Other activities include a Classic Hot Rod Car Show, 1950sthemed party, dance contest, king and queen coronation, raffles and prizes.

DJ Bruce Barrios will serve as master of ceremonies.

Admission is a $10 per person donation, with all proceeds benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association.

Attendees are encouraged to come in ’50s clothing.
