•Army Pfc. Bryce R. Maygren has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of Dwight Maygren of Thousand Oaks and a 1995 graduate of Thousand Oaks High School.

•Navy Seaman Recruit Raquel M. Brusher recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Brusher is a 2007 graduate of Thousand Oaks High School. She is the daughter of Sharyn Henry of Thousand Oaks and Keith Brusher of Corona, Calif.
