Boston University recently recognized the following local students for academic honors.

This is the fourth largest independent university in the United States, with an enrollment of more than 29,000 students in 17 schools and colleges.

•Brendan W. Callahan of Thousand Oaks received a Bachelor of Science in business administration and management, and Breanna M. Theriault of Thousand Oaks received a Bachelor of Science in film and television at the commencement ceremony in May.

•Erin M. Cummings, Brittany M. Irshay and Breanna M. Theriault, all of Thousand Oaks, were named to the dean's list for spring semester.

•Allison M. Banister, Guillermo I. Camps and Sheryl A. Sulistiawan, all of Newbury Park, were named to the dean's list for spring semester.
