Pirates will invade Ventura Harbor Village on Sat. and Sun., July 18 and 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. for the fourth annual Pirate Days featuring professional pirate liveaction shows, piratethemed activities, pirate look-alikes, children's treasure hunts and visitor participation.

The Harbor Village is on Spinnaker Drive off Harbor Boulevard, Ventura. Pirate Days admission and parking are free.

Steve Stafford's Strolling Pirate Musicians and The Pirates Charles will sing pirate shanties.

Pirate costume contests with tickets to Disneyland as prizes will take place at 2:30 p.m. for children and 3:30 p.m. for adults on both days.

Activities include pirate astrological charts, pirate-themed inflatables, exotic birds and snakes, talk like a pirate workshop, free pirate tattoos, pirate magic show and sword fights.

The Pirate's Cove on the main lawn will have vendors selling pirate goodies. Children may get a henna tattoo, ride ponies and have their faces painted.

Live belly dancers will perform on the stairs outside The Greek at the Harbor.

Ventura Boat Rentals will provide a 45-minute narrated special tour for a cost. Tours depart every hour from noon to 5 p.m. daily. Call (805) 6427753 for information.

The Bill of Rights schooner departs at 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Call (805) 6421393 for reservations.

Dockside tours on Bill of Rights are available from 2 to 4 p.m. with a $5 recommended donation.

Food will be for sale at local restaurants.

Kids Pirate Creations, a free event, will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Harbor Village Gallery.

A pirate pancake breakfast will be served from 9 to 11 a.m. Sunday at The Greek at the Harbor. The cost is $5. Call (805) 6505350 for information.

A free shuttle will pick up at the parking lot at the corner of Schooner Drive and Harbor Boulevard Saturday from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
