The Economic Development Collaborative-Ventura County has launched the Global Entrepreneur Training in Trade Program.

An informational meeting for businesses interested in this program will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Tues., July 14 at EDCVC offices, 1601 Carmen Drive, Ste. 215, Camarillo.

Business owners and managers who have been in a successful business operation for at least three years and have a desire to explore international opportunities may register for the program.

Participants will receive 36 classroom hours, which include expert international business guest speakers, 10 hours of oneon-one specialized counseling on strategic plan development and a private tour of the port of Hueneme.

The program was designed to increase Ventura County business profit and job creation through import/export trade, expand awareness of international trade opportunities and improve economic sustainability.
