      Newbury Park A robber stole cash from Citibank on Newbury Road between 1:20 and 1:24 p.m. June 20. The male allegedly entered the bank and handed a note to a teller. In his note, he demanded money and indicated he had a weapon. The teller was fearful and complied, and the robber fled the scene.

Speed-related deaths are down
      The California Highway Patrol recently concluded a study that showed deaths due to speedrelated collisions declined in 2008. The study, "Saving Lives in California II," found that through September 2008 there were 255 deaths, compared to 2006 baseline totals of 290 deaths. The number of injuries had gone down, too, from 30,726 to 25,584.

Suspect allegedly sabotaged mall radios
Suspect may have made threats and used profanity
      According to security personnel at The Oaks mall, an unknown male voice was coming over their official radios, using profanity and threatening to jam their frequencies.
