Tear down some houses to protect endangered plant?

So a few NIMBYs (Not In My Back Yard) have again slowed plans for Lang Ranch Park that would serve a large, underserved section of T.O, thus causing yet more legal fees, planning costs and untold inflationary costs to the rest of the park district.

Regarding the failure to protect Braunton's milkvetch, I wonder how carefully the developer who built the houses all around the park site protected the plant.

I suggest that a study should be done to see if adequate protections were in place. If not, perhaps a few houses must come down and the area restored to make sure there's plenty of habitat for the milkvetch to prosper. Susan Robb Thousand Oaks
