Acorn praised for June 18 editorial

Kudos to the T.O. Acorn for its measured assessment in the June 18 editorial ("Zero tolerance is what it says") regarding the Newbury Park prom dispute.

Justice may not always be meted out as fairly as we think it should; however, that's a poor reason to withhold it altogether.

Those who supply minors with alcohol, knowing these kids have signed a contract agreeing not to imbibe, and then proceed to whine about the consequences appear inappropriately entitled.

Suck it up and allow your children to learn to accept responsibility gracefully. Christina Murray Newbury Park
