Kids can learn how to build, program and run robots

Robotics & Things of Simi Valley has scheduled the fifth annual ROBOTICS camp/ workshop in Agoura Hills for three sessions in July and August.

All sessions will offer the same programming and will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with lunch and breaks.

The first session is July 13 to 17. Second session is Aug. 10 to 14, and the third session is Aug. 17 to 21.

Campers will learn math, science and engineering techniques designed for elementary and middle school students.

The camp will use both California Science Standards and National Science Standards to program robots, robotic creatures and robotic vehicles with ROBOTIX, a batteryoperated platform originally designed by Milton-Bradley in 1983.

Goals and objectives will be created by setting tasks using ROBOTIX sets, kits and parts. Children will work both individually and in a team or group environment. Kits will be provided for use during each session.
