Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Month

Colina Boys & Girls Club member Peter Brancato recalls moving from New Jersey as a youngster: "It was hard at first, but now I have tons and tons of friends!" The funny and charismatic 13-year-old connects with his circle of friends by playing their compositions on the club piano, listening to music on the club computers, playing baseball and soccer and just hanging out in the games room. For dinner at home, he frequently prepares his specialties: orange chicken, ribs, even french fries. He looks forward to the Boys & Girls Clubs' "X-treme Teen Summer Camp," especially its french fry taste-testing trip to local restaurants: "I'm going to die, I'm so excited!"

Youths of the Month at the Redwood and Los Cerritos clubs are, respectively, Jake Parris and Nathalie Lopez.
