Relay for Life support needed

A team captain planning meeting for the Conejo Valley Relay for Life will be from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Goebel Senior Center, 1385 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

The meeting is for experienced relay team captains and also for individuals and groups interested in starting or joining a team for the relay, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

The 12th annual 24-hour relay will be from 10 a.m. Sat., Aug. 29 to 10 a.m. Sun., Aug. 30 at the Conejo Creek South Playfields in Thousand Oaks.

Teams will walk relay-style during the event to raise funds for cancer research.
