Citibank on Newbury Road is targeted by robber
      A man calmly robbed a bank in Newbury Park on Saturday afternoon by presenting an employee with a note demanding money. The unidentified man was wearing a blue baseball cap, a blue zippered sweatshirt and metalframed prescription glasses. He was described as about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 165 pounds.

Sheriff Brooks won't seek reelection

"I have been honored to serve with the Ventura County Sheriff 's Department for 36 years, 11 of them as your sheriff," Brooks said.       Newbury Park For allegedly threatening to kill someone and that person's family in the 600 block of Paseo La Perla on March 5, a male, 33, was arrested June 11. A male, 18, was arrested on charges of burglary, stealing someone's identity, embezzlement, petty theft and forgery at 12:10 p.m. June 15 in the 3000 block of Lisa Court.
