In praise of coyotes

2009-06-25 / Letters

Regarding her June 18 letter, Dorothy Campagna's attitude toward wildlife, coyotes in particular, is to shoot them if they come around human beings.

Native American culture teaches us that all life is sacred. God made all life equal; nothing is better than anything else.

Her letter had a very anti-life message, and I'm sure that most people don't feel as Mrs. Campagna does.

Having grown up in Thousand Oaks, I take comfort in hearing the coyotes nightly, and I'm glad to have them walk near me when I walk at night. Clint Matkovich Thousand Oaks
