2009-06-25 / Family
An orientation for potential adoptive parents will take place from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Tues., June 30 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.
Bilingual Spanish-speaking and English-speaking adults, single or married, are welcome to attend.
Qualifying families will receive training, certification, funds and 24-hour support to aid in the care of their adoptive children. Especially needed are families that can provide a home for two or more children so that siblings may remain together.
The orientation is presented by Children's Bureau, an organization that finds homes for children in need.
