The Westlake Lacrosse Club held its second annual Alumni Game on Sun., June 7.

The game was a fast-paced scoring fest with the Alumni beating Westlake High, 15-13.

The Alumni got out to an early lead and held on as the High School made a furious comeback that fell just short.

Westlake was one of the first lacrosse programs in Conejo Valley.

"The club has been around now for six years, and we've had some amazing players representing Westlake," said club member Neil Jurgens.

"It was nice to honor them and their families."

Added head coach Seth Cohen: "It's a great day, and it's good for some of the players still in school to see what these guys achieved by hard work and love of the sport."

This year's game received a boost of excitement with the inclusion of the inaugural Hall of Fame election ceremony.

The inaugural Hall of Fame class included three members of the Westlake Club Lacrosse Class of 2006—Dan Yeoman, Ari Gordin and Ryan Hart.

Gordin is captain of the UC San Diego lacrosse team.

Other Westlake lacrosse alumni attending were Travis Abraham, Pat Barraza, Taylor Bright, Mike Wyenn, Lee Cohen, Ross Marin, Kevin Land, Brian Bates and Johnny Namer.
