Expert to speak on early treatment of prostate cancer
Duke K. Bahn, M.D., medical director of the Prostate Institute of America, will present a lecture titled "Active Surveillance: A Treatment Perspective for Early Stage Prostate Cancer Treatment" from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sat., June 20, at the Wellness Community Valley/Ventura, 530 Hampshire Road, Westlake Village.
This free event is open to people with prostate cancer, prostate cancer survivors and their families.
Bahn is an internationally recognized expert in the field of prostate cancer. He specializes in the early detection, staging and treatment of prostate cancer utilizing highresolution colordoppler ultrasound.
His presentation will explore the option of using this technology for close monitoring of early-stage prostate cancer and delaying therapy as long as it's safe.
