WLV plans July 4 parade

Residents of all ages may participate in the 40th annual Westlake Village Fourth of July Parade beginning at the former Westlake Village Medical Center property, 4415 Lakeview Canyon Road.

The Rotary Club of Westlake Village will serve a pancake breakfast starting at 7:30 a.m. The parade will start at 9:45 a.m. and will end four blocks away at Berniece Bennett Park, 31800 Village Center Road.

Residents may take part in the parade by decorating a bicycle, scooter, stroller or wagon in patriotic colors. Citizens may also watch the parade from along Agoura Road between Lakeview Canyon Road and Greengate Court.

After the parade, Boy Scout Troop No. 752 will perform a flag retirement ceremony at the park. Inflatables, old-fashioned park games, music, and free popsicles and water will be available. The event will end at noon.
