Newbury Park club lacrosse team finishes first in state

The Newbury Park High club lacrosse team secured a state championship Sunday afternoon at NPHS.
Newbury Park defeated Petaluma of Northern California, 8-7, to take the title.
Mark Wood logged three goals for Newbury Park, while Nick first in state
Marinelli and Zack Garrett each chipped in with two scores. Geoffrey Sebold also had a goal.
In Sunday's third-place matchup, Thousand Oaks was defeated by Casa Grande, 8-7.
Both local squads compete in the Southern California Lacrosse Association.
