Ride On Therapeutic Horsemanship and the Horses and Humans Research Foundation will present an open house and wine and cheese reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Thurs., June 18 at Ride On's ranch in Thousand Oaks.

The event will give the public an opportunity to learn about the advancements in research in equine-assisted activities and the programs that Ride On offers to children and adults with disabilities.

The Horses and Humans Research Foundation promotes and supports research that scientifically investigates the therapeutic effects of equineassisted activities on people with disabilities.

The event is free and open to the public.
