The Thousand OaksWestlake Village Community Foundation will honor local individuals and organizations that have made a positive impact on Thousand Oaks and Westlake Village at the Spirit of Community Awards from 7 to 9 p.m. Fri., June 5 at Los Robles Greens Banquet Center, 299 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks.

The celebration will recognize educators, community volunteers, law enforcement agencies, fire protection agencies and armed forces personnel for contributing their time and effort for the betterment of their communities.

Sheila Fundaburk, manager of California Pizza Kitchen at The Lakes, will be honored as Community Volunteer of the Year.

Many Mansions will be honored as the Community Nonprofit Organization of the Year.

The evening features a dessert reception and awards presentation. The cost to attend the Spirit of Community Celebration is $28; reservations are required.
