Low-income seniors get grant for care programs
The California Community Foundation recently awarded Villa Esperanza Services with a twoyear $100,000 grant to support operations of the organization's Adult Day Program with an emphasis on expanding programs and services for adults age 60 and over who do not have developmental disabilities.
The grant will supplement program fees to allow lowincome seniors to attend the program free of charge.
Villa Esperanza is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the care and education of children, adults and seniors with developmental and other disabilities. Among other services, it operates an adult residence home in Thousand Oaks.
