Locals rule the day at CIF divisionals

Jules Sharpe and Niko DiMartino of Oaks Christian, as well as La Reina's Sarah Pearson, were big winners during last weekend's CIF-Southern Section Track and Field Divisional Championships at Cerritos College.

Competing in Division IV, Sharpe won the boys' high jump and triple jump crowns.

The senior posted a 45-10 in winning the triple jump and soared 6 feet, 11 inches during the high jump final.

DiMartino was victorious in the boys' long jump with a mark of 22-5 3/4.

Pearson ran away with the Division IV girls' 3,200 title in 10:55.98.

The OCHS boys' squad finished second overall in its division.
