Two in a row finishing first
      BACK-TO-BACK CHAMPS- The Thousand Oaks Bulldogs 14U Baseball Club won the Moorpark Spring Break Tournament for the second consecutive year. Thousand Oaks powers its way into tennis final
T.O. eager to avenge season's lone loss
      The Lancers had to sweat, but they still nabbed a huge victory. Bolstered by nine wins from its top three singles players, the Thousand Oaks High boys' tennis team defeated visiting Mater Dei 117 in the CIFSouthern Section Division I semifinals Tuesday afternoon.

Locals rule the day at CIF divisionals
      Jules Sharpe and Niko DiMartino of Oaks Christian, as well as La Reina's Sarah Pearson, were big winners during last weekend's CIF-Southern Section Track and Field Divisional Championships at Cerritos College. Competing in Division IV, Sharpe won the boys' high jump and triple jump crowns.

      They have encountered rattlesnakes and nearly been pummeled by tumbling boulders. They've almost fallen off cliffs, walked for hours in high desert heat and withstood howling winds that unearthed their tents at night.

Lancers, Lions swoop into softball quarterfinals
      ADVANCING— Thousand Oaks High second baseman Alysha Payne throws out a Pacifica base runner during Tuesday's CIFSouthern Section Division I second-round contest at Pacifica. The Lancers won 6-2 and will host top-seeded Norco today at 3:15 p.m. in the quarterfinals. In Division III action this afternoon, Oaks Christian takes on Glendora at OCHS.

Newbury, T.O. in state lacrosse finals
      The Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park boys' club lacrosse teams will represent Southern California during the state championships this weekend at NPHS. Saturday at noon, Northern California's top seed, Petaluma, will play Thousand Oaks.

Water polo club claims silver at San Diego
      POOL PARTY— The Thousand Oaks South Coast Water Polo Club brought home silver medals in the U-14 boys' division at the San Diego Cup.
