The 18th anniversary Gala fundraiser for the Wellness Community Valley/Ventura will take place from 6 p.m. to midnight Fri., June 5 at the Four Seasons Hotel, Two Dole Drive, Westlake Village.

John and Elly Schneider are the celebrity chairs for the Gala, one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for the nonprofit organization, which offers services free of charge to those with cancer, cancer survivors and their families.

The evening will feature an awards presentation to recognize residents for their work on behalf of people with cancer and their families.

Olympic gold medalist figure skater Scott Hamilton will attend and present the Celebration of Philanthropy Award to Alice and Harvey Diamond for their support of research through the Jennifer Diamond Foundation.

Other award recipients will be Gail Crawford, a survivor of stage IV breast cancer, Celebration of Hope Award; Harry S. Menco, M.D., Celebration of Excellence Award; and Zita I. Rahbar, member and past chair of the board of directors of the Wellness Community, Celebration of Life Award.

American Idol Hollywood finalist Ann Marie Boskovich and Don Cromwell, bass player for Air Supply and Eddie Money, will perform during the Gala cocktail hour.

The event will also have a live auction with several bigticket items. Fabio Vivani, a finalist on Bravo TV's "Top Chef" and owner of Cafe Firenze Italian Restaurant and Martini Lounge in Moorpark, has offered an auction item of a chef's table in his restaurant with a multicourse meal and accompanying wines.
