Wine and hors d'oeuvres included at Chamber event

The Thousand Oaks-Westlake Village Regional Chamber of Commerce invites all Conejo Valley business owners and entrepreneurs to its inaugural Business Forum from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tues., June 2 at Fiamme restaurant in the Paseo Marketplace, 3731 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Westlake Village.

The theme will be "Defying the Odds: Sustaining Your Business During a Recovering Economy."

Five area experts will participate in a panel. Kristen Best, television host, will moderate the discussion. The panelists are:

•George H. Cogswell III, president and publisher of the Ventura County Star; advertising and brand building.

•Capt. Brad "Brick" Conners, executive coach, leadership adviser and senior consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton; team leadership in times of change.

•Jamey Power, former senior vice president for J.D. Power and Associates; keeping customers loyal in tough times.

•John G. Lockhart, president/ CEO of People Media; how public relations and new media can help sustain a brand.

Admission is $10 and includes wine and hors d'oeuvres.
