The CIF-Southern Section Track and Field Divisional Championships take place Saturday at Cerritos College.

Top local athletes to watch for in the Division II events include Newbury Park's Raven Chavanne (girls' 100, 200 and 4x100 relay) and Thousand Oaks' Allie Lopez (girls' 800, 1,600 and 4x400 relay).

Other local qualifiers on the girls' side are Newbury Park's Megan Thompson (100) and Thousand Oaks' Lydia French (high jump), as well as the 4x100 relay squad from Newbury Park and the 4x400 team from TOHS.

On the boys' side, Westlake's Sam Demello (800), Thousand Oaks' Philip Hanley (high jump) and a pair of Lancer 3,200 runners, Sean Gildea and Kevin Joerger, will be in action.

The NPHS boys' 4x400 relay team qualified as well.

Oaks Christian and La Reina will compete in Division IV.
