Student conducting research

Thousand Oaks resident Nicole Copti, a student at Occidental College in Los Angeles, is one of about 100 students at the college who have been selected to live and work on campus for 10 weeks this summer to pursue independent research projects.

Copti is working with Dr. Lynn Mehl, a professor of kinesiology, conducting research to study the effects of children and resources on physical activity level of adults at public parks.

Occidental College is a small liberal arts college in the Eagle Rock section of northeast Los Angeles.
