Quest camp features weekly themes
Quest Summer Day Camp is accepting registration for children entering grades one to six in fall 2009. Camp weeks are June 22 through Aug. 14 at Hillcrest Christian School, 384 Erbes Road, Thousand Oaks.
The camp runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Extended care is available for an additional charge from 7 to 9 a.m. and/or 4 to 6 p.m.
The camp is open to the community and sponsored by Living Oaks Community Church, 1033 Business Center Circle, Newbury Park.
Quest offers age-level math games and review, and quiet reading time each day.
Field trips include Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Universal Studios, Santa Cruz Island, Long Beach Aquarium, IMAX Theatre, Museum of Science and Industry, and California Adventure.
Campers will also visit Calamigos Ranch, Valley Bakery, Underwood Farms and Carpinteria Beach. A weekly trip to the Newbury Park High School pool is also scheduled.
All activities and trips are centered around a weekly theme.
Guest speakers/presenters will include Bill Myers, Frisbee dogs, reptiles, woodworking, cooking and Sky Dome Planetarium.
Families can register for one or more weeks, including all eight.
The cost is $195 per week and includes all field trips and supplies.
