Program offers strategies for foster families

The Ventura Community Colleges/Moorpark College Foster and Kinship Care Training Program will present the program "Resilient Strategies for Dynamic Living" from 6 to 9 p.m. Thurs., June 4 at the Aspiranet Ventura Conference Room, 1838 Eastman Ave., Ste. 100, Ventura.

The program leader is Dr. Kim Lockwood. He and his wife have been foster parents since 1978. They will share strategies of caregiving accumulated from years of experiences.

Lockwood has a doctorate in healthcare administration.

The program is free to foster and kinship care families. Three training hours will be available to attendees.

Space is limited, and registration is required.
