Farmers market will return to its original location

The Thousand Oaks Farmers Market will move back to its original location on Thurs., June 4 at The Oaks mall on the east end parking lot, near Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Wilbur Road.

The market had occupied space at the Hillcrest Center, up the hill from The Oaks on Hillcrest Drive.

Customer parking will be provided north of the market. To help facilitate parking lot use with the Muvico Theatres and restaurants, the market will extend hours from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. New, expanded handicapped parking will also be available.

The Thousand Oaks Farmers Market, started in 1991, is a notfor-profit farmers' cooperative with more than 60 farming families participating throughout the year.

The market offers an array of freshly grown produce, including organic varieties, freshcut flowers, bedding plants and more.

Food vendors include Me Gusta Gourmet Tamales, Mom's Products, Yankee Doodle Bakery, Lourdes Tohme Inc., Les Bles Bakery, Marcie's Pies and Frontier Kettle Korn.

An official grand opening will take place in June.
