The city of Thousand Oaks Council on Aging will honor senior volunteers in the community during the annual Senior of the Year Awards Ceremony from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thurs., June 4 at the Goebel Senior Adult Center, 1385 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

The event will have a pasta dinner, desserts, entertainment and dancing.

The final nominees for Senior of the Year are Julia Hans, Leean Nemeroff, Margie Ramos, Toni Ranslem, Joe Salviejo and Janet Sheehan.

Each of the nominees has contributed many volunteer hours of service to local seniors. All nominees will be honored at the ceremony.

Tickets are available for a suggested donation of $5.
