SWINE FLU WON'T STOP THE SHOW—Drama students and singers at Newbury Park High School have been rehearsing for their spring production of the musical "Bye Bye Birdie." It starts next week. Panther Players, the Newbury Park High School drama society, will present the musical comedy "Bye Bye Birdie" at 7 p.m. May 21, 22, 29 and 30, and a matinee at 2 p.m. May 30 in the school's Performing Arts Center, 456 Reino Road, Newbury Park.

The play is a satire about what happens when an Elvis-type rock and roll singer comes to a small town in Ohio to give the teen president of his fan club a farewell kiss before being drafted into the Army.

The show features such songs as "Put On A Happy Face," "Got A Lot Of Livin' to Do" and "How Lovely To Be A Woman."

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and will be available starting an hour before curtain.
