The Lakes needs cheaper retailers
2009-05-14 / Letters
I hear the City Council voted to spend $96,500 for a consultant to tell them how to improve business at The Lakes.
Mind boggling.
I could have told them what the problem is for far less money. The stores at The Lakes are too expensive- it's that simple.
I can't believe our elected officials are spending this much taxpayer money to try to extrapolate a more complex answer out of something so obvious.
Here's another study I would like to see: What better purposes could have been served in our city with that $96,500?
That's my 2 cents worth. Keep the change! Tess Hoff Newbury Park
