Pastors invited to seminar
Graham Baird, senior pastor at Highlands Church in Paso Robles, and Jim Birchfield, executive pastor at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach, will present a seminar for pastors, "Renew: Making Church Work Today," from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wed., May 27 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 32111 Watergate Road, Westlake Village.
The two pastors will share their experiences of building churches with congregations of more than 2,000. The goal is to provide pastors with proven strategies for growing new churches, and revitalizing and renewing established congregations.
A complimentary lunch will be provided. In addition to remarks by Baird and Birchfield, all participants will be invited to share ways they have fostered growth in their congregations.
The seminar is sponsored by San Francisco Theological Seminary, a graduate school of the Presbyterian Church (USA), which has a local campus in Pasadena.
The event is free, but registration is requested by calling (805) 226-5800 or going online at www.renewconferences.com.
