Arts Council exhibits local artists' work
The Arts Council of the Conejo Valley will present an exhibit titled "ACCV Board and Friends" from May 9 through June 30 in the Galleria at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.
The show can be viewed daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m..
Admission is free. Janet Amiri and Connie Tunick are co-curators for this show, a memorial exhibition honoring Joseph Ilowitz (19172008).
Bronze and terra cotta sculptures from Ilowitz's body of work will be on display.
Ilowitz was a World War II veteran and an artist. He was also a member and supporter of the arts council.
Exhibiting artists are Michael Adams, Janet Amiri, Rich Brimer, Gordon Durich, Theodora Ilowitz, Michael Pearce, Kathrin RaabQuestenberg, Geri Schonberg and Connie Tunick.
Guest artist, Francisco Masci of New York and Rome, will also have pieces in the show.
An artists' reception open to the public will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sat., May 30 p.m. at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts.
