Airport hosts 'Wings of Freedom'
The Collings Foundation's Wings of Freedom Tour will be at the Camarillo Airport at the General Aviation Ramp, 325 Durley Ave. through Fri., May 8.
Ground tours and displays will be from 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. Thurs., May 7; 9 a.m. through noon Fri., May 8.
The 30minute flight experiences are normally scheduled before and after the ground tour times.
The tour features displays of the World War II vintage Boeing B17 Flying Fortress, Consolidated B-24 Liberator and North American P-51 Mustang.
Visitors may explore the aircraft inside and out.
A donation of $12 for adults and $6 for children under 12 is requested for access to up-close viewing and tours through the inside of the aircraft.
Visitors may also take a 30minute flight aboard the aircraft. Flight experiences are a taxdeductible donation.
Flights on either the B-17 or B-24 are $425 per person. P-51 flights are $2,200 for a half-hour and $3,200 for a full hour. For reservations and information on flight experiences, call (800) 5688924.
