Mormons add trees to Thousand Oaks

BETTER TURNOUT THAN EXPECTED— Sarah Morgan, an organizer of an Arbor Day event that was completed by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, helps out during a treeplanting project. The volunteers for Helping Hands expected to plant saplings from 7:30 a.m. to noon, but Mormons turned out in force, and they finished early. They actually dug more holes than there were trees and had to refill the holes.
