The Architectural Firm of Behr Browers Architects Inc. in Thousand Oaks recently received the California Chapter of the Association of Registered Architects' Award of Excellence for its design of the Center Stage Theater in Fontana, Calif.

The project involved the renovation, expansion and conversion of a historical single-screen movie theater from the 1930s into a live entertainment dinner theater and conference center for the city.

Earlier this year the project received an award from the Ventura chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

Behr Browers Architects Inc. specializes in the design of theaters and cinemas. The firm recently completed the new Muvico multiplex at The Oaks mall and was the architect for the restoration of Hollywood's Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
