Spring classes to begin at Conejo Jewish Academy
The Conejo Jewish Academy is start its spring semester with classes for adults on Judaic subjects at 30345 Canwood St., Agoura Hills.
Classes are open to Jews of all affiliations and levels of observance.
Following are some of the upcoming classes.
•"49 Steps to Personal Refinement" is a four-week course on how to achieve a state of spiritual fulfillment and emotional refinement through the understanding of the 49 levels of growth corresponding to the 49 days between Passover and Shavuot. The instructor is Rabbi Yisroel Levine, and the class meets on Tuesday evenings. There is no fee.
•Wednesday Lunch 'N Learn with Rabbi Moshe Bryski meets from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. The topic is the civil laws of Judaism. A lunch follows the class. There is no fee.
•"Mother of Kings: The Story of Ruth" will be at 11 a.m. at a private home in Westlake Village. The instructor is Rebbetzin Brocha Sapochkisnky. There is no fee. Call for directions.
•Friday Women's Class with the Rabbi meets at noon at a private home in Agoura Hills. Rabbi Moshe D. Bryski will speak on "The 13 Attributes of Mercy."
