Westlake writer sounded arrogant

2009-05-07 / Letters

Regarding the letter from Jeffrey Wissot in the April 30 Thousand Oaks Acorn lamenting the fact that he may be inadvertently connected, however mildly, to the (yikes) city of Thousand Oaks, I want to reassure him that no one would ever mistake "Westlake Village" as more prestigious than Thousand Oaks, so please, sir, set that worry aside.

I'd also like to offer that we all know we own/rent a bit of paradise, just living in Southern California- - even we poor slobs not within Westlake's boundaries—and we're proud and delighted with our good luck.

I found the snobbish tone of the letter appalling and boorish. Eileen O'Neill West Hills
