Women in War to be honored at Camarillo Airport

About 25 women who contributed to the war effort in World War II will be honored for their work on Sat., May 9 at the Commemorative Air Force Aviation Museum in the Camarillo Airport, Skyway Drive.

The public is invited.

The event begins at 10 a.m. with displays of antique cars and vintage aircraft, docent-led tours, movies and exhibits.

At 1 p.m. the honored women and other guests will be introduced, followed by a presentation of "Women in War" and their role in World War II.

The program will conclude with a commemorative flyover recognizing those who gave their lives during all wars.

An admission donation is requested. The museum and the event will close at 4 p.m.
