Our priorities are wrong if teachers lose their jobs
      I'm an eighth-grade student at Sequoia Middle School. There have been many budget cuts, which makes a worried setting in schools. We have already made a lot of cuts and trimmed a lot of corners, but I think that before the teachers start to get pinkslipped, we should find other corners to cut.

      Dec. 16, 1773: Colonists disguised as Indians dump tea into Boston harbor declaring to England they won't tolerate taxation without representation. Fast forward almost 236 years: Republicans disguised as intelligent voters dump tea bags into whatever body of water they can find, declaring what? Taxation without representation?

Consumers have the right to return hearing aids
      Recently I witnessed a family friend go through a difficult process when returning hearing aids in Thousand Oaks because he didn't know his rights as a consumer. Although I don't sell hearing aids, I am a licensed hearing aid dispenser and audiologist.
