Newbury Park

The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the times, dates and places indicated: A female, 41, at 10:22 p.m. April 8 on Blackwood Street, west of Greendale Circle; and a male, 51, at 12:02 a.m. April 10 at Theresa Street and Borchard Road.

On suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances, the following subjects were arrested: A male, 24, at 12:45 p.m. April 8 in the 100 block of S. Walter Avenue (subject allegedly possessed Vicodin); a male, 24, at noon April 8 in the 100 block of S. Walter Avenue (subject possessed drug paraphernalia); a male, 35, at noon April 6 in the 1500 block of Newbury Road; a male, 22, at 4 p.m. April 1 in the 4000 block of Barcelona Place; and a male, 50, at 5 p.m. April 4 in the 1700 block of Newbury Road.

A female, 46, was arrested for spousal battery after allegedly scratching her husband's back and leaving multiple welts at 10:15 a.m. April 8 in the 5000 block of Via Andrea.

A male, 47, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, threatening to commit a crime, exhibiting a firearm, and destroying a wireless communication device to prevent someone from contacting authorities at 2:20 a.m. April 7 in the 1500 block of Rancho Conejo Boulevard.

Vandals used ink markers to create graffiti at Newbury Park High School around noon March 11.

About $800 in property was stolen on April 5 or 6 on Ventu Park Road, south of the 101 Freeway overpass.

A felon was placed in the back of a patrol car and caused more than $400 in damages to Ventura County Sheriff's Department property on New Year's Eve in the 1500 block of Newbury Road. The incident was reported April 10.

A male, 21, allegedly bought and supplied alcohol to three minors in an open flood control basin near Lynn Road and Paseo de La Paz, and he was cited for contributing to the delinquency of minors at 5:03 p.m. April 5. Two 18-year-old males at the scene were cited for illegal possession of alcohol.

A male, 36, was arrested for allegedly driving or taking a stolen vehicle at 11:30 a.m. April 7 in the greenbelt behind the 500 block of Martinique Place.

The loss exceeded $400 after vandalism between April 3 and 6 in the 200 block of Donlin Lane.

For selling magazine subscriptions without a permit, a male, 20, was cited at 7:05 p.m. April 9 at Via Mirabella and Via Laguna.

Thousand Oaks

A male, 21, was arrested for possessing stolen credit cards, iPods, a GPS system and golf clubs (stolen items were allegedly pilfered from vehicles) at 4:50 p.m. April 5 in The Oaks mall.

The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the times, dates and places indicated: A male, 47, at 12:50 a.m. April 8 at the intersection of Hampshire Road and Willow Drive (subject drove on the wrong side of the road and over a concrete center median); a male, 20, at 3:05 a.m. April 4 at E. Hillcrest Drive and Erbes Road; and a female, 20, at 2:45 a.m. April 4 at Lynn Road and the 101 Freeway (subject failed to stop at a red light.)

A male, 28, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance at 9:50 p.m. April 3 in the 200 block of Triunfo Canyon Road.

For allegedly committing assault with a deadly weapon, making criminal threats and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant, a female, 43, was arrested at 3:30 p.m. April 3 at East Valley Sheriff's Station. The crimes allegedly occurred around 7 p.m. March 21 in the 5000 block of Read Road.

For making several purchases with fraudulent credit cards at two businesses and possessing marijuana, a male, 30, was arrested at 2:45 p.m. April 4 in the 600 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard. Another male, 44, conspired with the first subject to commit the crimes and was charged with making a fraudulent purchase at one location, and attempted to make two other purchases at a separate business.

A blue vinyl jacket and an identification card were stolen the night of March 4 in the 800 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard. The crime was recently reported.

A male, 19, whose occupation was listed as magician, was cited for trespassing at California Lutheran University's North Hall at 7:54 p.m. April 8.

A petty theft occurred on March 31 in the 1500 block of N. Moorpark Road.

A musical instrument was stolen at Madrona Elementary School on March 26. The crime was recently reported.

Property was stolen between 7:15 and 7:50 p.m. March 31 in the 100 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

A cell phone was stolen between 2 and 3 p.m. April 2 in the 300 block of Lombard Street.

A checkbook was stolen from a purse while the victim was holding her purse the afternoon of March 17 at Longs Drugs on N. Moorpark Road. The crime was recently reported.

Property was stolen between March 25 and April 1 in the 1300 block of Harmony Court.

About $300 in property was damaged on April 4 or 5 on Village Glen Avenue, near Watergate Road.

Mail was stolen from a mailbox between April 1 and 4 in the 1100 block of Woodridge Avenue.

Two purses were stolen during a party between 4 and 4:30 p.m. April 4 in the 3300 block of Big Cloud Circle.

Grand theft occurred on March 27 in the first block of W. Olsen Road.

A burglar entered a home by unknown means and stole a laptop computer on April 3 in the 200 block of E. Wilbur Road.

A shoplifter stole $58 in property from Urban Outfitters in The Oaks between 3:30 and 4 p.m. April 7.

A shoplifter stole $14.90 in goods from Love Culture in The Oaks 3:30 and 4 p.m. April 7.

A shoplifter stole $64 in merchandise from Claire's in The Oaks between 3:30 and 4 p.m. April 7.

Thieves stole a piece of art valued at $400 from the patio of Four Friends Gallery on E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard on March 30 or 31.

A $300 vehicle window was broken on April 7 in the 300 block of Arcturus Street.

Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: On April 3 or 4 in the 1400 block of Oberlin Avenue (unlocked); between 4:30 and 4:35 p.m. April 6 in the 200 block of S. Moorpark Road (GPS system was stolen from unsecured vehicle); on March 30 or 31 in the 100 block of McAfee Court (two vehicles, one unlocked); between 6:15 and 7 p.m. March 31 in the 600 block of Hampshire Road (unlocked); on March 2 or 3 in the 1700 block of W. Hillcrest Drive; on April 4 or 5 in the 500 block of Gainsborough Road (unlocked); on April 4 or 5 in the 400 block of Gainsborough Road; on April 1 in the 1900 block of Oberlin Avenue (the driver's-side window was smashed with a rock and an iPod was stolen); on April 3 or 4 in the first block of E. Lucero Street (unlocked); on April 3 or 4 in the first block of Triangle Street (pocket knife stolen from unlocked vehicle); on April 3 or 4 in the 1500 block of Campbell Avenue; on April 4 or 5 in the 2400 block of Rikkard Drive; between 11:45 a.m. and 3 p.m. April 5 in the 200 block of S. Moorpark Road; on April 4 or 5 in the 3100 block of Radcliffe Road (unlocked); between March 7 and 14 at an undisclosed location; on April 6 or 7 in the 2700 block of Great Smokey Court; on April 6 or 7 in the 2900 block of Great Smokey Court (two vehicles); and on April 6 or 7 in the 3700 block of Mountclef Boulevard (unsecured.)

A male, 34, was arrested for being drunk in public and giving a false name to police at 3:30 a.m. April 6 in the 600 block of Hampshire Road.

A male, 22, was arrested for being drunk in public at midnight April 7 in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road.

For drinking in public, two males, 49 and 39, were cited at 12:08 p.m. April 1 in the 800 block of Warwick Avenue.

Westlake / T.O.

A male, 28, bought a $500 television with counterfeit money in the 2300 block of Hillsbury Road around 8:11 a.m. April 7, and he was arrested around 12:30 p.m. the same day in Port Hueneme.

Vandals damaged telephone and computer lines by destroying wires in the utility box that affected a Verizon store, Go West Events and Impress Printing Solutions on April 7 or 8 in the 2200 block of Townsgate Road.

A male, 18, was cited for possessing a switchblade knife and a small amount of marijuana at 10:40 p.m. April 5 at Hampshire Road and Foothill Drive.
