The Village Church, a new church in Westlake Village, meets at 10 a.m. Sundays at Hyatt Westlake Plaza, 880 S. Westlake Blvd, Westlake Village.

Dan Cummins, 35, is the pastor. He served as a pastor the last five years in Lodi, Calif., alongside his father.

He's married to Sarah and they have three children.

Cummins is a graduate of UCLA and Fuller Theological Seminary.

Assisting him are his fatherinlaw, Bruce Pina, and his wife, Donna, who are long-time Westlake residents.

The church's mission is to "build a gospelcentered community through the power of the cross. . . .to know and experience the amazing grace of God, build rich and authentic relationships with one another, and see the Thousand Oaks community transformed by Jesus Christ."

The public is invited to Sunday services.
